Children develop in leaps in bounds when they have a structured routine. They need and love order and organization as much as adults do, so there is a set schedule of activities we follow so they always know what to expect: that they are going to get to sing-a-lot and play musical instruments and dress up and pretend and play in the gym and have lesson time and learn things and make things to take home and play in the activity room and outside and have lunch and snacks and participate in quiet time (take a nap).  Your child will be in group with all children during the times noted on the Activity Schedule found on the Parent Resource page.

All children receive ½ hour of private one-on-one developmental time, per week, in areas deemed most critical in preparing them for Kindergarten, see Core Educational and Developmental Focuses on Parent Resources Page.  All lessons and arts and crafts (brush painting, gluing and pasting, construction, building and design, and drawing activities) are based on ability and readiness assessments.  As each child develops, they are given the opportunity to expand their mind in the areas of letters, words, reading, numbers, counting, patterns, colors, shapes, sizes, matching, sorting, etc.,  regardless of age.

By utilizing indoor learning centers and outdoor play areas, children continually enjoy periods of relaxation, recreation, and creative self-expression. Our daily activities flow chart is also posted on the Parent Resources Page.  The intention of all learning areas, toys, and teaching materials is to use them as tools to help children work and learn at their own pace, to see abstract ideas presented in concrete three-dimensional ways, and to help them understand how things work and how to problem solve on their own.

When children grow up in an environment like The Fun Factory, a setting that is intellectually and artistically alive, warm and encouraging, they spontaneously ask questions, investigate, create, and explore new ideas.  I am of the opinion that if a child doesn’t learn how to use their hands, their mind, their body, and their voice at a young age they likely never do.

Children enrolled at The Fun Factory don't just learn how to unlock their inner-selves cognitively and artistically, they also learn the social graces of greetings and salutations and how to work with other children, share space, toys, and tools, take turns participating and that they should demonstrate inclusiveness, thankfulness, truthfulness, considerateness, politeness, patience, kindness, gentleness, helpfulness, and self control with their friends and family members.
