Hello, and thank you for visiting The Fun Factory website.
I would love to discuss your child's care and developmental needs with you. I have a background in early childhood development and I'm a music teacher and published children's author. I have an EIN for Federal and State Child Care Expense Claim Reporting purposes. I'm Certified in Infant and Pediatric CPR, First Aid, and Department of Public Health Child Wellness and Safety Practices, Cleared by the Department of Justice and FBI, and Licensed by the State of California.
Posted on the Home Page is a videogram that will take you on a virtual-tour of The Fun Factory where you can see the children in action. As you do, you will quickly discover the entire first floor is strictly a kids-only-zone where arts and crafts and drama and music and kids flourish all day long . . . there is no adult furniture. The video also demonstrates that the setting offers stimulating learning centers that allow children to rapidly advance and experience a wide variety of roles and that it is a place where siblings and children from different families play, socialize, and learn together and from each other (in a Montessori-home school) this way they assume greater responsibility and become role models for each other.
Children need other children and constant, ever-changing, fresh, invigorating, positive, creative stimulation in order to grow and develop. Children enrolled at The Fun Factory also gain independence and self-confidence through an individual approach all within an atmosphere that offers lots of personal and loving attention.
Education and experience has taught me that child development occurs best in a small group, home-like setting - that it is the best alternative there is for working parents. All meals are provided; they are strictly nutritional; everything served is made from scratch: fresh, organic and natural products. Fresh fruit, served at each meal and snack, is the only source of sugar and yogurt is homemade daily (ingredients: milk and more fresh fruit). My white meat and fish (protein), whole grain, vegetable, fruit, and dairy menu was created to help your child stay focused and maintain mental acuity throughout a busy day and grow physically strong, because everything I do is about promoting your child"s health and success, and providing you with confidence and peace of mind.
I truly consider it a privilege to get to care for little people and make sure they have every opportunity they need to develop and to feel safe, loved and adored. Their smiles and hugs are my compass and reward.
